getting a head to turn 11'000 rpms

So I can't post this where I should (Cylinder head & Short Block). So I guess I will ask hear. I have like 3 or 4 1g heads in the garage and want to get a head that will turn 11,000 RPM's what kinda parts still will I need to do so? I'm gonna start to port one of them tomarrow I have 1 of my 1g's ready on the short block side to do this.

You're going to need lightweight custom pistons/rods, a butchered crank, 8lb flywheel and a few oiling mods long before you're ever going to hit 11k rpms.

WHAT WHY?

2G We have a 9sec dsm here ,with a 2.3l , that does 10.5k rpm, Eagle crank,Eagle rods,Ross pistons.reg balance.hand port. FULL WEIGHT. TRE stg 2, qm clutch, Now an Automatic

1G Also had another 9sec dsm 2.0, shifts 9,9rpm, Stock crank,eagle rods,weisco pistons,reg balance. hand port,Full weight .shep stg 4, qm clutch.

Stock oil pumps,stock Axel's ,ETC
 
He's saying to be safe. and he's right I don't know how amytimes I need to say this but I have done all I Need to do to the short block. My ? was about the head. and I'm not finding any price's on those spings so I call jegs and they can get my so of the same spec spring well every but the valves for 310+ shipping

I went & posted about balancing the crank to suit 11k & not 7-8k.
Me being an Aus, my posts are foreign & mean ehh.
Only reason I posted it is becuase a lotta folk think a balance job is at a std.
A race boat or drag car crank is spun faster on the balancer to suit high revs.
Hand grooving the mains holes on half the hole only advances oil supply too.
3/4 race bearings are better than full groove blah blah.
I'm sure you'll get all the good gear for the head to suit the 11k crank.

when you say big cams what range in size are you talking about 272 or bigger? and I know turbo and fuel make that all changes i'm asking what is needed to make it work not perform to it's highest level.

LOL 272's are the new street cam. Im sure your going to need a lot more cam than 272's to rev that high. Like some custom made cams. Even the biggest cams are not usually made to spin that high.

Not to mention what kind of tranny and clutch setup do you plan on revving that high. Better be a dogbox or something because mitsu trannys and t-cases are going to tear apart at that tq and rpm levels.

I have a shep tranny.arp everything, bottom end is built rods pistons high volume iol pump BSE kit. If your asking what kinda fuel I'm running and turbo. It's a long list. no not trying to mess with shep thats to much LOL thats guys got it down. I'm trying to make 9's in stock seats carpet and all...

it is "possable" to turn 11k, not recommended to push your motor to its limits every time you race, unless you have blocks to go with the heads you got layn around. your rotating assembly has to be good for 11k also, and you have to have a 500% perfect assembly, meaning the balance on that bad boy can not be off by more than 00000003 in weight from one side to the other, with that being said. make sure your springs are of the highest quality in them heads, spare no expense. or kabloooooey will ensue.;)
 
11K, that's like wild. I didn't think it would even be possible, but 10.5 on a stroker seems crazy to me.
Maybe look into one of those destroker 2.1L 4G64s like you were saying. OR hell, maybe you need to try a 1.8L or 1.6L 4G61/2 with 4G63 head or something to give you the lightest rotating assembly possible and best rod angles possible.

my buddy says his head is good to 14.2k. i believe his motor was built by Alex Shuster thou
 
Umm, DOGBOX,,Automatic =yes, ,.,.,.,.QM/PTT or Custom ACT clutch + manual trans.=maybe, but it will do 12k all day

He said dsm tranny. That is not a dsm tranny. The dsm manual can shift at 12k but only pushing less than 500lb/tq. Once you hit that limit and start revving high its center diff and tcase killing time.
 
just90gs is this 11k for an auto box to run the 1/4 in 3 gears ?
If so, you'll have 6.2k into 2nd & 7.3k into 3rd.

OOOOK people I just said I don't need to know about the bottom end it's done did anyone catch the 4g64/3g63=2.1 I got that part done. I've got over 4g's in the bottom so I got that. But also thanks for the info. but my goal was to get info and prices on parts for the head. And the drivetrain is good. but agian thank for the info.

I'm gonna call bullshit on that right there. There is no way a stroker is going to live spinning to 10.5k more than a few times.

Ok I know for a fact a 2.3 can turn 10.5 their is a gst up here at mrd that turn's those rpm's. Yes the parts list is up their in price. But it's not bullshit I've watched it turn 10'5 with my own eye's so no bullshit.
I may be kinda new to the froms but not to any of the 4g's I've been working on there since's I was about 14 learning more and more every day and I'm 25 now. That's alot of time. I may not be the best with typing or useing a computer or spelling but when it come's to the 4g's I'm very very very smart. I don't like posting things becuause of so many people got to be negative about allmost anything it's kinda dumb if your goona waste time being negative do it somewhere else I don't really want to hear it. Kinda tired of that it get's old very fast...
