Alright I just did a 6 bolt swap into a buddy's car and the motor ran fine in the car previous... and Now I have run into a problem...

I heard a HORRIBLE knocking noise and realized that it wasnt " rod knock" but coming from all the lifters...

I pulled the valve cover and started the car for maybe 15 seconds to realize that there was NO oil coming to the head...

I'm trying to figure out exactly what the problems can be and how I can Check to see if that is the problem

any help would be great

Are you sure it's just the head that isn't getting oil? Does oil register on the dipstick?

I just pulled a 6 bolt out of my 2g and the guy that had it before me must had hit something, because the cams locked up due to no oil, what happened was the oil pan was pushed up into the pick up tube for the oil, the tube was also pushed up and the pan still looked as if you could use it, so i tried it on my good motor and that when i relized what had happen to the locked motor "motor was still good, bad head" the pan wouldn't bolt up because the good motors tube wasn't bent and held it away from the engine. hope this helps you and good luck, maybe try a different pan.remeber mine didn't seem to be smashed, just pushed up a little
