I wont be doing the work, ill be "helping" at best LOL. My mechanic buddy is gonna be doing majority of my upgrades...

When i drop in the cams, will i need to tune it? Or are they drop in and drive sorta deal?

You will need to tune it. My car drove fine with the cams and no tune, but as soon as i stepped into it i had went from running about 11.2 - 11.5:1 all the way to 14:1 while wide open. You definately want to tune right away because running that lean under WOT can kill a motor pretty fast if you're not carefull.

Do you run speed density? That would be why. A maf car doesn't lean out. . . Or at least mine don't, mine didn't. Well, you know the maf tells the ecu exactly how much air is entering the engine. No matter what the ecu can increase the %IDC unless the injectors are at their maximum. Just puzzled as to why your's leaned out so much.

Am i running a maf? i know i have to get a maf translator if i get a gm maf, but im stock right now, so i assume im running a maf?

yes i know that was totally n00bie :coy: but i got confused when the other guy started talking...but you never learn if u dont ask right :p and i THINK i might of gotten ripped off, they guy hasnt responed to any of my emails since i sent him the money....:( White_DSM is his name...i think i have to open a dispute over paypal. if he doesnt respond soon...:notgood:

Paypal won't get your money back, from my experience. Matt, those cams sound nice. I'm thinking of running 272's on my 14b first. As I am waiting for my s58 to arrive.

Just wait a little while longer.

BTW. To give my opinion about your setup. Your 20g deserves 272s. They are "streetable". . . this means the spool isn't TERRIBLE and the powerband takes you to redline and can push the 20g to it's limit... They're a good match for the air velocity neccesary to see the 20g potential.
