Pulled the head off my car and was wondering about MLS head gasket part numbers and finish of the head surface?

Also wondering about wheres a good place to get the special timing tools from? Or any other special tricks.

Run a composite HG like the OE or Fel-pro 9627PT and ARP head studs.

That combo is good for 500ho and 30+ psi

Do not run a MLS HG till the block and head is mill correctly to the proper surface finish

Had these boards are full of valuable gems, in order to get the forum full value you got to use the search feature! I know for me I have found the answer to both of your questions just by searching. If you can't find your answer after searching just pm me and I will help you out:)

I have head studs already and I will stick with the Comp gasket. My home comp is dead so only forum stuff is o. My phone and its a pain to use on the forum. I know I have found the stuff before but like to hear from actual people. Seems like most of the posts my phone cones up with are old

Yeah like Bogus said, stick with a composite gasket. I am running a Felpro with L19 studs and about 33 psi. I will be running more like 38psi in the near future. I made that decision after having MLS HG issues at 38psi and searching around to see what my other options were. I bought the L19s before I found out the problem wasn't my head lifting at that boost, so they are probably overkill!
