Gasket Alternatives

I have a cracked O2 sensor housing to Turbo gasket. I already ordered the gasket but was wondering if there was an alternative to the gasket. Iv'e heard you can use high temp RTV. Does anyone have experience with this? Any other options?

I've heard of people using RTV copper gasket maker for things like that with great results.

That may work, but with temps reaching upwards of 1400-1500 degrees at the O2 (or slightly less) I doubt it would hold for very long. Use the gasket since any leak before the O2 will hurt performance.

I only use EVO III gaskets from RalliArt and they work very well.

The high-temp RTV is only good up to 700*F, and as Andy mentioned, you'll go way past that. Do it right and buy the gasket.

Thats what im doing. Should be here in a few days. Just wanted to see some options.
