gas smell in the car??!!!

ok so iv searched the forums an i know this problem isnt just me .but i have notice the smell comes from the front of the car down on the floor. and, get this, i only get the smell when the windows are closed and the moon roof is on vent(no its not my acc or heat i checked that) but this would confirm the smell coming from the floor ### the moon roof on vent pulls air up from the floor. i think. just wondering if anyone had an idea. iv checked the injectors and the evap canister.thanks

I don't if you did fuel systems but if you did i'd the fuel pressure regulator, fuel line, and fuel rail.

Check the gas tank cap under the backseat under the panel on the passenger side . I had the same problem come to find out the cap where the fuel pump is was loose, but you may need a new gasket. hope this helps

There are only 3 reasons for fuel smell coming into the passenger from the front.
1- Fuel leak under the hood. Fix it or you will have an engine fire.
2- fuel vapor line disconnected from carbon cannister. Find and reconnect vapor line.
3- Carbon cannister is full of fuel due to a bad fuel filler cap. Replace fuel cap and either replace or remove carbon cannister.

If i remember correctly there is a recall on some 2g's for the fuel pump seal on the top of the tank because it was installed wrong causing it to leak fumes out.

Ok #2 vapor line huh do you have a pic of this. Because under my car there is like a plastic hose just hanging there not attached to nothing. What is it?

I would also smell gas to when i turned on the a/c . So i checked it out turns out my fpr was leaking. Fixed the problem $180 for a new fpr took like 2 months to find the part not cool.
