Gas light come on when its at 1/4 tank?

Whats up all you dsm tuners. My question is why does my gas light come on when my gas gauge still says 1/4 tank?

When the gauge is at 1/4 or when you actually have a 1/4 tank of fuel left?

My gauge will be at the E, the light will come on, and I'll only put 45L into the 60L tank.

There's a potentiometer fix for it but I don't remember where it is.

Sending unit in the tank is out of adjustment. Prob take the unit out of the tank and readjust the float mechanism so it will read more accurately.

Hubby's GST comes on at 1/4. Mine on the GS doesn't come on at 1/4. I'm not even sure it comes on at all...I've never seen it

When my gauges gets pegged all the way below e I can get another 50mi in town until the light is on.

With the three DSM's I own all of them still have a quarter tank when it is on E. Is that how all of these cars are, or do the floats go out of adjustment?

My gas gauge wont go any lower then 1/4

My light comes on at 1/4. I noticed it started doing that when i put in 1600s injectors. So i just thought maybe thats was why. But i really dont mind it . Safer, since we dont have e85 in every corner.

Mine used to come on a 1/4 tank AFTER "E" .. stupid sending unit..

Mine came on when it was about 1/4 but now the gauge does'nt go below 1/4........but yeah check your floating sensor mechanism.

Do you have any kind of aftermarket instrument panel? I had a similar problem.. turned out the person that installed my aftermarket instrument panel put the needle back on in the incorrect position, which is why it was always off by a quarter tank. I fixed it by filling my tank completely full, popping the needle off and put it back on facing the 'F'

Mine all because of a bad ground as well just plaaced a new ground on it and its worked perfectly since
