FWD Transmission Swap

When I bought my first DSM, a 1996 Eagle Talon TSi FWD, it had a few mods from the previous owner. My friend and I have been unable to figure out what transmission had been swapped into it but it is definitely not stock. Any ideas? The previous owner never told me what it was and I don't have his contact info. anymore.

All the gears have extremely odd positions when you look at the position of the shifter.

you can't use a 1G tranny in a 2g. 1G have the roll stoppers mounted on the block, where 2g's have em on the tranny. you might want to check your shift cable adjustment.

Any idea what transmission could be swapped into a 2G?

Post up the VIN number off of the top of the bellhousing. That'll tell us exactly what year, make, and model it originally came from.
