3rd gear hub grenaded. As a result, I need to swap my tranny.

Problem is, it's near-impossible to find a 2g fwd tranny used, and I can't afford a rebuilt unit.

What needs to be done to use a 2g awd tranny on a fwd? New halfshafts I know, obviously removal of xfer case, awd flywheel obviously...anything I'm missing?

It'll be a lot cheaper to rebuild your tranny. A hub / sleeve kit is like $120. Syncros for all gears are another $175. Thats all you'd really NEED anyways other than a few snap rings and bullshit like that.

Generally speaking, when a part grenades internally, it usually damages other parts also.

Quoted $1400 for a basic rebuild from shep.
