When i have the battery turned on the fuel pump sometimes runs continuously, sometimes the relay keeps clicking on and off, and other times the fuel pump doesnt run at all. i just changed the fuel filter today, and ill be checking the pressure soon. the car is also not running due to not getting any spark. all the wires, plugs, coil pack, ect. checked good. im gonna test the cam and crank sensors tomarrow. could the fuel problem be effecting the spark or vice verse?? if anyone has any ideas on either problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Check for bad ground connection on the fuel pump or bad fuel pump relay.

I second this motion! Also your pump/relay issue shouldnt cause you to have no spark. Typically you need fuel air and compression to fire up an engine. without one it wont start.

Your cam sensor is also related to the fuel relay etc, if its misreading the ASD relay would send pulse to the ECU shutting it down. which would lead to no fuel/ no spark. Which could also be the relay you here clicking. Its located right next to the fuel relay and transmission relay if you have an automatic.

i just replaced the cam sensor. could the ASD relay be bad? is there a way to test it?

If you ASD relay was bad you would not have spark or fuel. I am pretty sure it would let the ecu know to shut down the entire system. However you could test it while cranking and putting a test light in the Black wire with red stripe. I believe all the the wires coming from the relay plug should have power. Must be while cranking as the ASD only comes on briefly with the key, and then is turned on by the ecu when it reads the cam and crank sensors. Hope this helps you out some.
