1G Fuel Pump Hanger Issues

Was going to install an upgraded fuel pump into my 1990 Eclipse GSX and I snapped the bolt that comes through the top plate of the hanger for the positive terminal of the fuel pump. I'm wondering if there is a way to modify this instead of replacing the hanger. What I'm thinking is to cut off that plastic piece on the top and drill a hole through and just connect the wires. Would that work? If not does anyone know where to find the hangers for these pumps?

Corrosion kills the parts people usually need so eliminating the stock feeds and bulkhead wires through the hanger is normal.
