Fuel Pressure Gauge

So I installed the B&M Fuel Pressure Gauge on top of my fuel filter yesterday and the needle bounces rapidly between 40 and 45 psi at idle. Is this normal?

you used teflon around the threads right? around BOTH the fitting and the gauge

if not then take it off by some teflon and then use teflon then re-install...

Of course I used teflon tape

I'm guessing the jittering movement is NOT normal? What else could it be?

I'd prefer Permatex for automotive use, but people get away with the plumber's stuff.

It's the relief valve in the pump working.

So its normal then? Mine does the same thing. I dont have any problems with mine, just curious. Didnt know if it was a sign of something going wrong or what. Always wondered bout that

When measuring the pressure, should I use the high, low, or average of the two jittering values as my "official" pressure?
