1G Fuel pressure gauge

ok guys so I have a fuel lab AFPR with the fuel lab gauge and the gauge itself is all sloppy and flops around on my regulator....I am in the market to buy a new gauge for my regulator and I was curios as to what gauge I should go with like should I go with a fluid filled gauge or a dry gauge and if so what gauge are you guys currently using and what will be the best and the most accurate

Is yours not fluid filled? The fluid is there to help the gauge stay steady. It's possible yours leaked out. I have a tovic fluid filled one on my fuel lab reg and it's perfect, haven't had one issue yet.

The under hood heat plays games with liquid filled gauges. It can get pressurized due to expansion of the fluid and cause the gauge to display incorrectly.

I was reading that heat can cause issues with the gauge now I see some gauges that are fluid filled almost all the way to the top of it and then I see others that are only filled with fluid about half way, I'm just trying to figure out what gauge I should go with???

I've had mine for years and not one single issue, and I live in Hawaii bro! Everytime I check my psi it's dead on from where I set it. Has been in 2 of my cars actually mines the one in the link and filled all the way. This just helps keep the needle from bouncing around, and gives a more accurate reading.

Remote mounting the gauge helps. Put a 18 inch flex line between the two and hard mount the gauge to the fire wall

I replaced my afpr gauge with one from Amazon. It was $22 shipped and is perfect so far. Gauge name is below.

I have the fuel lab afpr and my gauge was floppy pull the gauge off with a 10mm wrench I believe and there is two little holes for two tiny screws that keep the gauge in place you need to find some watch style screws and tighten them and the gauge will no flop around I Teflon tapped my fitting when putting the gauge back in fuel lab said it was a good idea to do it and the adjustment screw since they have a tendency to slowly lose pressure when not running....

I kno what your saying with the gauge there is 2 Philips head screws on the back of it and if you did have the fuel lab gauge that came with the AFPR then you kno exactly what I'm talking about when I say it flops around and I could make a very good educated guess that anyone who has the fuel lap AFPR kit with the fuel lab gauge has had pretty much the same issue I'm having!!

Yea my screws are still there so I should be able to take the gauge off and inspect it and check the screws in the back to see what's up

And another thing guys is there really a need for a 0-100psi fuel pressure gauge or would a 0-60psi be fine? Honestly I don't ever see myself even going over 50psi....but I was checking this one out....http://m.ebay.com/itm/Marshall-1600...chanical-Black-Gauge-/201452531615?nav=SEARCH

Depends on your build plans over 50psi isn't to hard to believe in sure there's a bunch running up there but would take some serious equipment to need 100psi figure a 2nd gen stock psi is 43ish

You guys need to remember it BFP ( Base fuel pressure) plus actual boost.

ex.. 43 black plus 35PSI = 78 PSI.

So a 60 PSI gauge would be useless. Get a 100 PSI gauge and be done. Most don't exceed that but there are a few crazy peeps on here
