ok now i read 2 other post on fuel injector clicking but there seems to be many different opinions on if its the lifters or the injector itself. i listened to the injectors and there is a very loud tick coming from them (very quick too).iv never heard it this loud and iv worked on other cars and heard there injectors. is this a bad injector? is there a test to see if a injector is failing mechanically? my car has 156,000 miles on it and has had other mile related problems so far.

If you unplug one of the injectors and the clicking from that area goes away, it's an injector.

Well it could be an injector but you also sayd it was a loud cliking so that could also be your lifters whit your car having 156,000k on it ..
my lifter started making noise when i had 95k on the motor
does you car feel different performance whise sence this problem started?
you might want to try engine restorer 4cylinder formula from waltmart or your local auto parts use it on every oil change that got rid of my lifter noise you might wana try some of the injector cleaner formulas from auto parts if your on a budget but if you got money to throw away then just buy new injectors,
