fuel injector

Okay I have a 1g awd turbo talon. I recently needed to replace my fuel injectors so I bought some 2g. However when I put them all in, it seemed like the 2g ones were a bit shorter. they do not extend all the way from the fuel rail to the engine. Is it suppose to be like that or should it fit perfectly between the fuel rail and engine? Or should I just go out and get some 1g injectors?

Any answers/thoughts are appreciated.

1G injectors are blue tops and 2G black tops, there is a chance they won't fit correctly, I don't know this for sure but I would just swap them with 1G injectors to be safe. Use new rings as well...

I just measured a blue and a black top 450.
They are within .005" of each other measuring from the top of the injector sheet to the bottom where the insulator seats.

I suspect you forgot the rubber sheet (spacer) on the top of the injector that limits how far the injector fits into the fuel rail.

How does the spacers look like? Do you have a pic? I am not sure what you are talking about. Or maybe I may have missed it...

The upper spacer or sheet is the one pointed to the following picture.

And here is the upper sheet, lower insulator, and the o-ring to seal the injector in the fuel rail.
