k guys here is he update i got NGK plugs gaped them to 28 and i verified i have spark to all my plugs.I have fuel to the rail, and also tried to turn the CAS 180 and still not even a sputter. So i had my daughter turn the engine over while i listened to the injectors for clicking with a 1/4 in extention and nothing any suggestions?what controlls the injector pulse the ecm? any and all suggestions will be great now ty :hellyeah:

When you turned the CAS did the injectors click? Next thing to check is pull the ECU and smell it for fish.

does the CAS control the injectors? and with my engine TDC and both cams lined up and the dowel pins facing 12 o'clock the intake cam spot where the CAS goes is going left to right not up an down so what way do i place the CAS?

CAS controls both injectors and spark. At TDC it should be facing left to right, not up and down.

If the injectors click when you spin the CAS then your CAS is good (as long as youre getting spark too). If they don't then your CAS is bad.

CAS tests good then I'd go ahead and pull the ECU and check for burn marks or rotten fish smell since it's really common. If that seems to check out pull your injector resistor pack and test that with an ohm meter. If that tests good then start looking into wiring issues.

I've heard leaking caps in the ECU if bad enough could do that. But I really don't think the CAS has anything to do with the injectors not working IMO.

Like I said before, CAS controls spark AND fuel.

so can i have my wife inside the car holding the key over and remove the CAS and turn it buy hand and listen for clicking at the injectors?also where is the injector resistor pack located on a 1990 tsi? ty guys for all the help this is kinda my new dd since i sold my 1997 so if u guys wanna give me a cell number and talk me threw this it would be awesome ty guys again for the quick responces
