fuel cutting before it should?

i have a 16g and i hit (what im assuming is) fuel cut at about 12 psi... reading around it seems that i shouldnt be hitting cut until like 15?

i dont want to go to 15 but its hard for me to keep at 10-11 because it will spike at 12 and cut the fuel and then go back down to 10... so im stuck with about 8-9 now (spiking at 10)

yes i have a boost gauge and an aftermarket BOV and a manual boost control...

ha i bought the car like it is... i dont have access to a blt or an air compressor so i will have to wait and test it when i go to see my buddy again... i do think i have boost leaks though... is there anywhere in particular they show up more often? so maybe i can check for loose clamps, bolts, hoses?

build your own BLT. It'll cost ~$10 and you can use a gas station compressor to test with.

Most common spot I've found on 2g's are where the upper intercooler meets the upper intercooler pipe.

Check all the couplers, BOV, throttle body, even the injector seals like to leak. Soapy spray bottle will help a ton.

Common boost leaks are everywhere. You'll need to do the test. My guess is you have boost leaks so your MAF is reading higher load than is actually making it into the engine, causing fuel cut despite you being at such low boost.

ok i have bee reading through the mods section and posting lots of questions... the weather is starting to look up so i will begin checkin stuff out tomarrow and ill let you know what i come across

just to be clear... the turbo set up will have no effect on the fuel cut? i should still be able to get 15 psi if i wanted?
