Front Mount Help

I have a question, i have a 93 talon with a 91 6 bolt motor swap. I was was thinking about getting a fmic for my next mod. Since the fmics are so expensive i was considering getting one on ebay and needed some advice.

1. Are ebay fmics good?
2. What type will i need? is the only difference the pipping between a 91 and a 93?
3. Will any core work and i just need so either buy or fab up some pipes and buy the silicon 90' connections or what?

From what I've read on here, most people have had good luck with ebay FMIC's. No matter what Intercooler you get you'll need to do some custom fabing to mount it. I have a Vibrant FMIC that seems to be working pretty well. I build my own piping though so I cant give you much info about the e-bay piping kits besides the fact that one of my bought a short route piping kit off e-bay and it worked pretty well. Edit: looks like someone beat me to it^^^^^^

My only other advise would be to get some good couplers, good t-bolt clamps, and a boost leak tester when you go through with it. You'll appreciate all three by the time your done.

I am looking to make in the 300hp range. So with this said what size core should i be looking for? I deffinetally want a nice size one for look reasons but if a smaller core is cheaper and efficiant then that is what i want. So waht size?

if your only lookinh to get 300hp and stop there then you might not want to get a huge intercooler. a frontmount will be best but people have used the oem sidemount intercooler to do some pretty quick times. the kit im trying to get some feedback on i think will be good for 300hp but not much further. this is fine with me
