in your guy's experience what'te h best FPR for a stock 1g fuel rail and a stock return line without having to mod/weld on the fuel rail? I sold off my AEM fuel rail and FPR back when i got rid of my 2g motor because a friend needed it for his dyno pull ( mistake in hind site) and i was planning on just getting a new FPR right away but never did due to using the money on buying a lathe..

now that i'm getting my car back to where it was 2 years ago for this coming spring i was wondering what's teh simplest bolt on FPR made these days....i'm looking to get back in the 460's HP wise ( my best on my old motor and setup ) but on high boost the fuel pressure is getting way too high for my comfort with the stock unit

i've spent so much time wrenching on other peoples cars (mainly the porsche club racers ) that i've kind of fell out of the loop as to what's out there for DSM's

Are you looking for one that'll bolt up in the stock FPR location? Or one that you have to connect by line to the end of the rail? Most people use an Aeromotive AFPR and just mount it to the firewall near the brake fluid reservoir.

I just installed an Aeromotive AFPR (it's mounted to my firewall by a bracket) and have a stock 1G fuel rail and stock return line. I put a SS line between the AFPR and rail (the rail had an adapter on it to accept the AN fitting) and just a normal fuel line between the bottom of the AFPR and the stock hard line.

Here's a kit that has everything (they also have one with SS line) - http://www.importevolution.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_45&products_id=1620

How did you build a 460+ AWHP car and not know what AFPR to get?

Anyway, to answer your question. I love the Aeromotive A1000 -6 unit (P/N 13109), you can find them on ebay for about $135. You will need an install kit. I recommend the shawdow series cut from Street Tuned Motor Sports they got for $100. But you have to put the fittings on the ends yourself. After that it's all wrenches and hexes.

I HAD a complete AEM fuel rail adn regulator abck then ( along with nitrous which i also sold )... when i was switching to teh 6 bolt motor i sold the AEM rail and FPR to my friend craig so he could get his car complete and get it dyno'd. I had just planned on getting another one and never did since i had other things to worry about financially and ended up buying a lathe for my business..my car has been on the back burner for about 2 years and there's a few things i need to get abck on it to start putting out decent #'s again..the FPR being one of tehhm...the only reason i ask in this post is that i know theres a bunch of New stuff out there and was wondering what teh "hot ticket" was on DSM's these days

thanks for teh advice, i was planning on aeromotive anyway since i use them on most of teh 944's we build at the shop, but just hoped there was an easy bolt on solution since my engine bay is abit packed as it is

i guess i don't care if i have to weld a fitting on the rail since i have a few extras laying around

I know all about DSM back burnerism, after my wreck in 2004. My car has just been sitting back there on the back burner......wasting away..... poor car....It's ok baby!!

yea, it happens, i was putting in a new motor, had just bought a lathe and then i was jumping a honda 50 for a stunt FMX DVD and landed wrong and bent my leg backwards at the knee and had to have a new ACL, MCL and the meniscus repaired... that's been my reason for back-burnerism :LOL
