Can anybody give me an advice on if I can mate an hx35 to a fp manifold maybe using a dsm to t3 flange from ebay without water line issues? I probably gonna pass up on the sale because I can't afford a decent t3 turbo manifold ATM.

The other turbo I want to ask the same question is the PTE 6262 same set up on .63 ar dsm bolt on manifold.

Yeah I already thought of it. I'll make sure I have the tuning done before installing the turbo. I'm excited to install everything though.

But look at this, while I was surfing the web I came across to this.

Custom Built HX35 with Bullseye Power Tubine Housing - T3 External

Has anyone bought this turbo from them? I wish I hadn't got mine from craigslist because I'm paying more buying the compressor and bep housing separately. I feel like that money could had gone to my T3 manifold already.

So alright I came down with two choices.

Option 1. HX35 / dsm BEP turbine / FP manifold / PR tial MVS WG+02 housing

Option 2.HX35 / dsm BEP turbine / DNP DSM recirc. WG manifold + 02 housing / tial or map 38mm WG

Option 3. hx35 / T3 BEP turbine / T3 ERL manifold w/ tial or map 38mm WG / Custom fabricated V band 02 housing

please vote. If my car was yours which route would you choose.

I know it costs more but i think most would agree on option 3. Then if you ever, for some reason want a dif turbo setup, the options are wide open with the t3. Not to mention it has to flow better than the fp/dsm bep combo. I dont have personal experience with the hx35/40 etc, but i know that the t3 mani is the way to go.

I'd go t3 there, but id add one more option. If you are staying with the dsm flange, going with a fp 30 series housing and machining it to fit the hx35 seems ideal. I know a few people have done it and it worked very well. Seen here:

There was another thread with more info but i cant seem to find it right now.

My vote is option 3.

I just switched my HX-35 to the T3 BEP .70 A/R Vband and got it up and running yesterday. The housing is a good bit bigger than the numbers lead you to believe. I have pics in one of the Holset threads. I have run both the .55 BEP & the .63 A/R T3 housing before this one.

I saw very little difference in spool-up (if any) going from the Garret .63 to the BEP .70. The power is a little more linear in the spool up range and the torque hit is a little softer than before. I hit 33-35 psi by 4600-4700 right now. Both my peak torque and HP stay about 750-1000 rpms longer instead of peaking and tapering. My 70-90 mph time is a consistent 1.15 sec right now which is the same as 38 psi on the .63 A/R housing. My 80-100 time is about .1-.2 sec quicker than before. I am flowing 54-55 lb/min at 33-35 psi instead of 53-54 lb/min at 38 psi. I'm happy!

YMMV

Notice that the ad never mentions anything about "Holset". You're getting a knockoff HX35 in a BEP housing if you buy one of those.

Oh I see it what you mean. I wouldn't have been able to tell.

The answer to that question will be different for every car. Most of those mods don't directly add power, but open up the ability to tune for more power or dial up boost safely.
