My pacestetter manifold recently cracked and ive been looking for a new exhaust mani and cant decide between the fp and evo3, I'm just wondering is the fp really worth the extra money thanks...

Neither will crack.

From what i've read the FP is good for about 7hp over the Evo III on a moderate setup. You can find great deals on the FP, so the price really isn't that bad.

FP owns all manifolds LOL. And they have it on sale for the time being for their tax sale.

On average your looking at 50 bucks extra. The FP manifold is made of better material.. and won't ever crack. Also, ultimately in the end the FP manifold will flow more than the Evo 3. Basically you need to know what your goals are. There are plenty of people out there making 300+ hp on the Evo3. Not bad power for front wheel drive!

I run an EVO3 and have been pleased with the performance. I'd say that if I hadn't gotten a good deal on it, I'd have bought the FP manifold. I believe to be one of the best out there for stock to moderate setups, and then some. I'm sure that you'll be happy with the choice.

Tube manifolds are not really meant for everyday driving and they are more prone to cracking. Plus the fp manifold is cheaper right now and will hold up a lot better in the long run.

I switched from a 2g manifold to an fp manifold and I could tell a noticable difference with the butt dyno :D It looks really nice too!

My only beef with the Fp manifold is that it's a pain in the ass to make a heat shield for. My evo3 is fine and i don't plan on changing it until i go to a t3 back side on my turbo.

go with the fp its only a little more expensive but you get better flow.

Do you have a before and after log showing better flow from the manifold?

There was a log some time ago that was posted I think on DSMTalk that showed a nearly 20 HP jump from swapping from the E3 manifold to the FP. I can't find any active links anymore, but it was dyno proven independently.

I've never seen back-to-back logs of FP vs. stock manifolds. I sold mine off before I could test that personally :coy:

Strictly by design, I feel the FP manifold will shine at higher RPMs vs the stock manifold, and absolutely be good a for a noticeable WHP increase.

I would buy the fp mani again if I were building another dsm, no questions asked. The quality is excellent and the performance, as everyone has said, is great.

I wish I could find back to back logs of the stock and FP manifold.
I did see somewhere where someone picked up 2mph in their 1/4 mile ET consistently with it.

I like my FP manifold, I wouldn't choose any mitsu flanged manifold over it.
