FP DSM turbo question

is the dsm green xl turbine inlet flange the same as a old school red or black?

yes it is the same , both have 8cm turbine housing

alright thanks man. I was jw because I read on here somewhere that putting a oldschool red hotside on a green xl was a upgrade. but that didn't make any sense to me because I was pretty positive that they were all 8cm housings

The old school red, red, and black turbine housing won't work on the green xl, they have a larger turbine.

The Green XL uses a 65MM turbine the OS Red/Red/Black use a 67MM turbine. The term 8CM refers to the A/R of the turbine housing it doesn't reference the contour, inlet, or outlet.

Putting a 67MM Turbine housing on a 65MM turbine is an upgrade as much as putting a hole in your block is an upgrade.

The best upgrade for a green xl is to run it over 30psi on e85, or race gas.

it wont be ran on e85 but it will be over 30 for sure. I was just wondering for down the road when I want something bigger
