LHP said:Sorry your wrong, everbody that driven the cars with this system have remarked at how good the throttle responce is compared to all other throttle setups they have driven on 4g63's, and the off idle and low speed is better NOT worse.
I was contracted to build these systems for a customer who wanted more, so if you don't want them that's fine, but don't make statements that are incorrect, and If some one wanted even more bottom end I can put on smaller throttles but this will kill off some top end.
And yes there are alot of cars using single throttles and large MAF's but if they want to go even faster the maf and single blade will become a restriction sooner or latter.
I have never had a customer call and complain about losing throttle responce/HP/ torque etc yet.
And larger cams can be used with ITB's because at low speed the intake port kick back is dampened by the throttles, less problems with cross talk as compared to plenum manifolds. LHP

as for a n/a itb setup you really dotn want to port the runners out at all. if oyu make em to big you lose all port velocity and the air doesnt flow as good. my head setup is gonan be a stage one port just to clean up all stock castings on the exhaust side but im leaving the intake ports in stock trim. the imperfections in the stock head will add a little disruption to the air which will make it better for adding in nitrous.
the port velocity on the intake side will be great and perfect for a itb setup also. the exhaust side of my head will be ported stage one and polished to flow without disruption. mirror finish in the exhaust ports. the valve job will be a 5 angle valve job with 1mm oversized valves. this will also let moire air in without disrupting the port velocity.
to me this is a good start5er point for my build up. im gonan run crower stage 3 cams which are huge. i have a pic of a tag from a friend who got the cams. the tag has all specs on it of the stage 3 cams. i posted it in the 1g all motor alternative thread.
with a stroker kit you will gain some tq back and hp as well. stroker setups net very good tq numbers. although the rod angle on the 2.3 setup sux compared to using the 2.4L block and modding it to accept the 2.0L 1g head. but thats a totally different conversation
Im wondering what kind of compression is best for the itb/ head combo. Now that I think about it does it even matter? Im thinking 11:1 (I read of countless hondas running 11:1 and still streetable.) Who is doing you port job?It all depends on how crazy your cams are...na90dsm said:11:0:1 is the highest you can run on pump gas
