Found a 1G for sale... what do you guys think?

Ok, it's a 92 Talon Tsi AWD, 30k miles. Yes, that's correct 30k on the body. Black on black. The guy has put around $11k into it. He didn't go into details on all the mods, but he said a Shep tranny for sure, and a Big 16G turbo. I'm assuming it's had a rebuild, but I could be wrong. He said that all the work was done at Buschur's shop. He also said that it dynoed at 400hp. The interior and exterior are PERFECT. The car looks showroom new. He wants $11k for it. No way am I paying that much for it. "You buy the mods, the car comes free." as he put it. I want it, but not for $11k. How much do you guys think it's worth?

11k for a 1g? Unless it tickles you in certain places to put a smile on your face it is not worth it. You can buy one and do the same work and know for sure what was done and what has broken. You would probably even be able to buy a 2g and do the same mods for that if you found the right price for the stock car. For a 1g with those mods he'd be lucky to get anything more than 5.5. Also, 30k on the body but the engine has been rebuilt? I would sneak a peak the odometer. Even then with a rebuilt engine who knows it hasn't just flipped and he is saying that. Taking care of the body of a car is not that hard if it never sees snow or salt.

i dont know for a fact if it has been built or not. I was figuring that if he put $11k into it that he did. I could be wrong. I would find it hard to believe that it had more than 30k miles. Everything on the car looks perfect. He has a couple other cars, so he doesn't drive it that muchy. He said only a couple times a summer. No matter what, it's definitely not worth $11k. If I'm gonna spend that much, I'd put a 6 bolt in a 2G AWD.
