Does anybody know of any forged pistons that will fit directly on 1g rods without machining the rods? Thanks

PSI_Tom said:Ross pistons use a no-silicon alloy that requires less cylinder-wall clearnace, so they don't slap on cold start ups and will save your cylinder walls and pistons from a lot of wear. Wiseco uses a silicon alloy which will slap, although Wiseco has taken many steps to prevent it. Specifically they have offset the pin holes and tapered the top ring land to encourage smooth operation. Also, they now put a moly coating on the piston skirts, although I have first hand experience with similar moly coatings not lasting 10 miles before it's rubbed off.
The Ross pistons are the most straight-forward, no hassle, no-brainer pistons money can buy. That's what I use in my engine and have not been let down to date
