Alright I did some searching, but couldn't really find anything. Anyways, I was planning on going with the stock 6-bolt rods, and '95 pistons, but I figured that I don't want to have to do this again anytime soon, So I'm wondering about forged pistons. I have a 2g, so I believe I'll have to have the rods machined to fit the crank, but if I were to get Forged pistons for a 6 bolt, then I could get the compression that I want without having to machine the rods to fit. Is this possible? Or do I have to get the 2g pistons?

seriously, thats how Im building my 6bolt... just stock, except a set of topline 9.0-1 comp pistons... because my stock ones had cracks in 3 of them...they were only 200 bucks from slowboy, I think.... If you TUNE right, then a stock motor will take you to the 300s easily... can you spell E-V-O-K-I-L-L-A? I think you can... hahaha good luck with your build bro....

Yeah... i wish... All of the Evo's I roll with are tuned by Bushur... running like 340+ on the mustang... Ha ha... I'll be happy just to keep up:( But like you said, I'll probably just get a set of stock 2g's from slowboy, or just re-ring mine if everything will allow for it... Thanks for all the help...

I wish the rebuild kit slowboys has was an OEM kit. That would have made it a helluva lot easier. I don't know much about it though, so I can't say if you'd be better off with that, or if they are inferior to the stock ones.

I really havent heard too much bas stuff about topline, except their oil pumps are garbage... but that's neither here nor there... the kit came very complete and a lot of the gaskets came in a pair, which is handy... only time will tell... im going to do thread when the build is done about my experience with the topline kit
