Anybody have any ideas of how to protect my FMIC ....... i have considered chicken wire stuff but I have no idea of how to attach it to the back of the front bumper.

please help....did search came up with nadda.

You could do some cheap Ebay grill..... they are like 5-10 bucks and you can get it already custom made with brakets for cheap on ebay for 1g and 2g, Im sure u can DIY at home depot as well

i know it sounds cheesy, but mesh should work for your situation. anything more would hinder airflow to the IC.

i was thinking about using heavy duty velcro to keep the mesh in place ..what do you think.

although i am a long time advocate of industrial velcro, i dont think it would be best in your situation. your best bet is to get some fasteners or even just some plain ole nuts, bolts and washers to secure it to the front fascia.

where exactly would i bolt it too.i mean i could drill a hole through the entire thing for INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH however i think it would look booo getto......any pics would be helpful.

zip ties are a excellent idea .however where would be the place place to drill where it could not be seen

REally small holes like 1/8 inch holes in like the four corners and maybe two inbetween on the tops and bottom, then use the white or black small zip ties, depnding on yoru color, or you coudl find some zipties that kinda match the color of your car. But no one will notice them unless you like get on yrou hands and knees and stare at it.

thks for all your ideas .....really appreciate it i will let you guys know how it goes.

thks again

I used gutter gaurd for my FMIC. You can get it at most hardware stores, its really inexpensive. I drilled small holes and used zip ties to secure it. I haven't had any problems, and you can only really see it when you're up close.

Hand drill and zipties?
That's what I used on another car. Just use a bunch of the tiny zipties and there's no way anyone's going to see how you've fastened it...although it makes it easy since I've owned only black cars! ;)
Just an FYI, I've never seen any of the ebay grill mesh stuff be any higher quality than the rain gutter stuff you get at Home Depot. It's the exact same stuff, except a lot cheaper from the hardware store.

hey all thks again ....... i am going to go with all your guys idea about gutter guard and zip ties......went last night and picked up a role of the gutter guard stuff @ Southern States.......LOL.......any hoo, got the zip ties, hopfully i will get to it today. Let you know how it goes.....right now it is way to cold to paint, i have a silver car so I think the stainless will go good......if any you guys have any other color or opinions about leaving it alone let me know ASAP!

thks again
