any ideas?

I searched for this but didn't find anything that was really the same

problem my car won't move
I was backing up and all of a sudden I have no go and there is a clunking noise tried to go forward and nothing.
It doesn't matter what gear I put it in when I let the clutch out all I get is a clunking noise the only difference is it is louder and more prominent in higher gears.
just to answer some of the questions before they get asked by you guys
No CEL, clutch was done less than a year ago, engine still runs fine.

if you have any ideas or need more info let me know

come on guys a little help, my car is stuck in my driveway and I had to take the gf's topaz to work today. I'm suffering here

well my friend had that happen to his mr2 he could put it in gear and let up the whole way on clutch and wouldnt stale cause his clutchw as dead well we could put it in gear and liek red line it and get it to crawl like 2 mph dont know if that would help you

not quite I had the clutch go last year and replaced it and it is nothing like that, I did talk to my mechanic and he said that it could possibly be the halfshaft on thepassenger side causing all my problems. well I guess I can at least be thankful it happened in my driveway and not while I was out somewhere
