Did a lil search but yeilded nothing, so here is an idea (if not already done). How about a fittipaldi appearance package? I like the looks of it for a body kit idea instead of the ricey ones available now. Is there a supporting vendor that has these capabilities?

I can't see it being much more then any regular one sonce they should be manufactured the same. Unless I am not seeing something here. And I would think with some pics and to scale measurment think I think someone woth a cad progeam something could happen tight?

You would have to be able to borrow the car from whomever ends up buying to take measurements for the molds. Molds are expensive that is why most body kits are just straight copies of other cars. Or straight copies of other body kits.

It would also ruin the uniqueness of the fittipaldi talon and If I were the owner I wouldn't let it happen.

To be honest i dont think it looks good at all. I dont think you'd have a market for it considering the 1gs are pretty ugly already. kind of like putting a dress on a pig. Most 1g guys dont have it ### it looks pretty but because they can runs low 13's bone stock. But if you really want to do it theres nothing a lot of money and time cant make happen

Ill agree with the uniqueness factor but. Am not saying a direct copy of it persay, just something that isn't ricey but makes it asthetically pleasingand functional at the same time, such as a wider center "mouth" for better cooling with fmics and stuff you know?

yeah. that is a really good idea, but it would be a long time before it got done, and like said it wouldnt be cheap.

The only way the average 1g guy would buy a body kit is if it was actually functional in some way, or if it were cheaper than junkyard bumpers. and skirts. I can get a stock bumper for around 45$. No way in hell I would get something that is heavier, and more expensive.

To a select few it would be a good idea, but it is not gonna be a big seller, it wont make money etc.

What junkyard bumpers fir the 1gb's? I know on an a , a subie bumper fit s but what bout us? Or u just talking gettin a nother stock bumper?

Exactly

I don't think it would sell that well at all. Just from what I've witnessed and read, it doesn't seem like the 1g guys generally look for body kits.

To be honest, I wouldn't buy one for the simple fact that it's not a real Fittipaldi and I hate the look alike stuff to try to make a car something it isn't. Lambo doors on non lamborghinis, evo style body kits on non evolutions, etc.

I think anyone who took on this project would just lose money constantly and eventually scrap the idea after a handful are produced and are still in the warehouse in a year.

To each their own.

Back on topic, I don't think it would be yield much of a profit because most 1g guys will steer clear of anything cosmetic that doesn't really have a purpose or performance function.

Another problem that could be ran into is licensing, or copyrights/patents. Since the car is a one off piece, there may be some type of licensing preventing the re-manufacturing of that style of body parts again.

If you want the looks of the fittipaldi kit and function too you could always add a z32 to your stable.
