So I just did my first log with evoscan/ecuflash and I got my results but I have a few issues i'm hoping somone can point me in the right direction.
1. It took me a bit to figure out how to get evoscan to log on my car. I am using the openport2.0 cable and then figured out I needed to also download the ecuflash to get evoscan to use those files to actually log my car. So that all good and I figured that out. Now when I'm logging I have evoscan setup like this. Open port 2.0 is checked off, with mitubishi mutIII ( I tried to use the dsm/3000gt/eclipse setting but it wouldn't log that way). As for the Bottom right in evoscan where you can select CAN MUTIII EFI (mitsu 2007+i.e. Evo X) as well as the other several options which should I be using. My logs seem to work with all of the EFI options.
2. So The reason why I am logging now is because I have not yet put in my walbro 255 or 1050cc injectors as I would like to get familiar with how evoscan/ecuflash and ceddy mods works. But I have noticed that when go any more than 70ish% throttle I start to get stuttering and misfires. So I wanted to log and be sure I'm not getting knock. Sadly I am There is one area where I got knock at 5 counts pretty early in the rpm range, but I was at a lot of throttle as I was doing a 3rd gear pull. Now would the stuttering / misfiring show up as knock on my log?
I did check my plugs and they looked fine but they are champions and are probably still the same plugs since the car was made. The gap was good on all of them except cylinder 3 was a bit more closed in so I regapped that one to match the rest. Still same issue. Maybe replace my plugs and wires? But if I buy new plugs should I just go straight to ngk 7es or stay with the 6es?
