So this project 2g is great, I'm having a great time with my son working on it when we both have a moment.
Every day is a new adventure in discovering what one of the previous owners did, did wrong, or didn't do at all, lots of mods, some expensive, some super cheap, most improperly installed or maintained. anyway, the first mod WE did was install ECMLink so we have a better idea of whats really going on, and here is one of the first logs.
There are still unknowns about this car, this is the first DSM I've looked at since my friends 1990 Laser Turbo back in the mid 90s. Anyway, if anyone can look at the log and maybe you see some glaring issues that I'm just ignorant about. I don't know what I don't know and its a tough place to start from.
Some of what I do know: 97 GST, MAFT 2.02 (all zero'd out) AEM Wideband on the front, unknown (but installed) O2 sensor on the rear, cat still exists. Skunk2 Pro TB, unknown if sensors/screws are correctly dialed in. Smoke tested and fixed every leak I can find, holds pressure from vac lines to the turbo intake fairly well, but not forever. Good plugs, gapped correctly. getting DTC P0135 on the front heater, brand new sensor, suspect it's related to a bad setting in ECMLink as the old sensor I replaced had the same code. FIC 775s no longer held in with rtv silicone (yeah).. cheap ebay BOV was leaking, replaced with a friends spare cheap ebay BOV (but this one isn't leaking yet) vented to atmosphere. FMIC.
What else? Oh a loud squeel on start up, every time warm or cold, when it stops squeaking there is a noticeable change in idle if that helps narrow it down. I'm sure there are other mods, the engine was allegedly rebuilt just recently, unknown components.
Sorry for the long post just trying to share what I know is in there. In the log you can see it's idling high, AFR goes lean pretty quickly. lmk if there are any other sensors that would help, any obvious mistakes I've made in the settings, and most importantly, thank you sincerely for any guidance.
Edit: aftermarket radiator also if that helps.
