No that was my mistake. You only have to wire in the clutch to use NLTS.

I just made a basic antilag file.

I am not too concerned about antilag, I just would like to get the Stationary limit and the CEL on Knock too work.

As far as the speed sensor it seems to work fine according to my EvoScan Logs.

hey, I posted on the last page. I'm in the same boat as white92talontsi. My car is also manual but I don't have the clutch wired in at all. So, the only thing we have in common would be the use of the free Ceddymods?

hey white92talontsi, does your boost needle sweep prior to start up? Mine does not, and I also cannot get any of the ceddymods to work, but I can edit everything else. (I've turned off some CEL's with the periphery bits)

So I was comparing the hex ed1380 posted vs. mine and I noticed in the "Versions and Extra info" window, I have "No Match" for everything, however, on the hex posted, there are numbers and letters for most of the things. I'm pretty newb to tunning, but I'm just trying to help with problem solving. LOL just putting it out there to see if that means anything. I'm going to try the posted hex tomorrow and see if that fixes anything.

Pretty much the same thing I get. My boost Gauge will generally sit at the first line and that's all.
I can change everything else like injector scaling/latency and have even went through and started tuning the MaxOctaneTable just fine but anything pertaining to the Actual Ceddy Mod portion does not work.

I am going to try the File that Ed1380 Posted in the morning and see what happens.

Where are you seeing the "versions and extra info window"?

"Where are you seeing the "versions and extra info window"?"

In ECU flash, after you open the ROM, on the left under Ceddy Mods you have all the boxes that you can select. The first one should say "Version and Extra Info" it opens a window saying the version and such. I'll try to take a screen shot comparing mine vs the one posted to explain it better.

right above the normal stuff

Umm, yea i don't have that, hmm..

Here is my screen Cap.
I wonder if this has something to do with Windows 7?

I remember reading something about windows 7 on the ceddy mod site.

Your problem isn't your computer it is the ROM. My guess is that you are running the older 2055, kanusky is either using 2364, or 2557, from the looks it's 2557. The screens, boxes that you check are worded differently in different hex files.
I found this out because in 2055 it is worded different for injector size and latency.

Hope that works!. Do a search and you find the newer rom and you should be good. I think you are going to have to change your numbers again, but not sure.

2364 is the 99 gsx and it does not show that for me as well. 2557 is the evo5/6 rom.

Can we run that rom?

I am running the ROM that is on Ceddys website and that is all that I see. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

Sorry I was refering to this post about what your seeing not matching up.

This came from Delta488 (Wiseman):
Have you copied the 23640004 definition file into the metadata folder?

Make sure under ECUFlash's options your user level is set to "Developer".

http://ceddy.us/wp-content/uploads/23640004.xml

Copy the code on this ^ page and paste it into notepad, then save it as 23640004.xml in the folder C:/Program Files/OpenECU/EcuFlash/rommetadata/mitsubishi/eclipse

-or just click 23640004.xml and save it there.

Assuming the hard drive where ECUFlash is installed is labeled C on your machine...

Close and restart ECUFlash. Open the 2364 ROM. Now you should see everything available for your stock ROM.

If you wish to use Ceddy's mods, I believe you will need to reflash to the 2055 ROM he's modified. AFAIK, he hasn't put his mods package in any of the other ROMs.

ROMs & EcuFlash Defs « ceddy.us

the thread is here:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/tun...sh-few-questions-about-whole-h8-business.html

I don't know about crossing years on the ECU, I am sure that is covered in this thread somewhere though.

I pulled my stock rom, filed it away and saved for later, I then reburned the 2364 onto my ECU and have been chugging away sense. I was on the older ROM for my original tune a year ago. My Walbro 190 pooped the bed so I put stock injectors and stock pump back in until FPR gets here. Managed to corrupt my tuning laptop and had to start over, hense the noob questions in the thread above, that and I am a NOOB for ECUFlash and Evoscan...:banghead: What ever happened to the old days where we watched EGT's and the wideband (when they were over $350....) with a SAFC, or MAFT :hellyeah:

I apologize if I posted in error above if you are not supposed to run the 2364 on your year.

I already have the necessary XML files in the rommetadata folder.

As far as what Ed said he is correct, There is only 1 ROM from the 98GST that includes Ceddy Mods.

hey guys, so I have some good news (personally). I compared the posted hex file from ed1380 to my stock 98 ROM (just to make sure the timing/fuel/injectors/etc were the same, which it pretty much was) and flashed it to my car. I took videos, but I don't know how to upload them. Anyways, my boost needle now sweeps and I turned the stationary rev limit on (no anti-lag stuff) and it worked perfectly! I'm pretty psyched cause I was getting discouraged since I was using the ROM from Ceddy's site, and it wasn't working. I don't know why, but hell I don't really care anymore since this ROM works. So yeah, just letting everyone know. Thanks for all the help ed1380!

ed1380, is that ROM you posted one that you paid Ceddy for?

I'm just wondering if Ceddy disabled all his custom coded mods in the public ROM posted on his site to keep the freeloaders from benefiting from all his hard work.

Don't take this the wrong way, as I believe Ceddy should get all the credit/money he deserves, but if that was the case, why not just eliminate the free link all together?

If he did make the free link Ceddymod's not work, for those reasons, it only made me frustrated and doubt the work, and consider alternate means of tuning. It also stopping me from purchasing his ROM's due to the fact that the free one wasn't even working.

I understand what you're saying but at the same time it doesn't make sense. Everyone, not just "freeloaders" would try a product first if its free before purchasing it.

If ed1380 did post a purchased ROM then maybe the site should take down the link. (giving away purchased property or whatever) and I'll just donate the $5.

Now that I personally got it to work, I am seriously considering buying the complete ROM (Big Maps, SD, ETC). Which kinda supports my previous statement.

Again, I'm just stating my opinion and I'm not arguing. I was just excited that it finally works

Cool deal so that mean's that it may work for me as well. I am getting ready to try here in about 30 minutes or so and report back.

The deal with donating etc. Opensource is supposed to be just that open source. If people want to make Roms then that is fine and if they want to get paid then I have no problem making a donation but asking for money for something that was free in the first place is something that I do not think should be allowed.

Just went out and flashed the modified file ed posted, I went ahead and dialed in my injectors and flashed and what do you know?
My boost gauge is bouncing up and down and the CEL on Knock is working as well.

So Ed, What was the difference in the file you posted?

Ceddy's wasn't "free" in the first place. He did offer his most basic mod pack for free. But if you wanted Big Maps, SD, or any of the other things he did, he asked for a donation. He has to pay to keep his website online.

And EcuFlash/EvoScan is hardly open source these days. Sure it may have started out that way, but good luck getting a copy of the code. There's a lot of time and work that goes into disassembly.

All I'm saying is that his custom ROM is well worth the money. Have a little respect.

Are you sure you were using a file Ceddy modified? He has just plain roms on his site too.

I only have the free ceddymods. There's nothing special about my file. I just took the stock ceddy file and enabled antilag on it, set antilag off speed to 10mph and cel on knock to 2.

Sometimes you just need a clean slate.

Yes I was using the Ceddy mod files. I know how to read what is listed on his website. It tells you which one is the actual ceddy mod version.

It does not work plain and simple. How can I download a ROM that is stock but have Ceddymods listed right in the ROM. I mean come on people.

There must be a problem with either your methods or your equipment.

Did pull off and store your stock rom before you started playing around with Ceddy's?
