Hey guys! So, the time has come for my first engine build. I'll be ordering parts next month and then assembly will begin. I'm looking for advice on a good internal setup that will work with what I already have turbo-wise/goals, etc. Would like to know ideally what brands, why, what compression/stoke, etc and why. This is a learning experience for me. Thank you!
Goals would be a relatively street-able 500-550whp and hopefully in the 450ish range for torque. I will be up front that I am NOT building another drag DSM. I want something that I can bring to the High Plains Raceway, misc autox events, and the canyons.
Current bolt-ons:
DNPerformance Exhaust Manifold
Slowboy Racing GT14 turbo (bolt-on DSM hotside, 35r comp wheel in a 30r housing to my knowledge, dual BB CHRA)
Tial 38mm EWG
Megan tubular o2
Open 3" downpipe
Punishment Racing FMIC
Forced Performance 4" intake
Speed Density
K&N 9" filter
Tial Q blow off valve
FIC 1450cc injectors
Fuelab AFPR
Fuelab 818 fuel filter
AEM 320 e85 fuel pump
(Hopefully soon) Calan catch can/AN lines to VC
Car will be tuned on DSMlink v3. If it's in the budget, I may also pick up a SMIM. Turbo doesn't really start to come alive until ~4900rpm on a stock motor which isn't too satisfying for what I'm looking for.
Faster spool would be nice, but I don't want to run an extremely high compression build. I'm too broke to wanna have to worry about it knocking all the time haha. Car will also be tuned on e85.
