Fidanza now makes short shifters for 1g's. Does anyone have one of these or have any info on them.

Why is Fidanza known to be crap?Defiant said:"Short" doesn't refer to how high they stick up, but to the lessened throw to change gears. Fidnanza is known to be crap, go with the eBay cloned B&M. It sticks up about ½" less. You can saw and re-weld virtually any shifter stalk.
They introduced a new stop in all their shifters. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=226887
I test drove a car with a B&M short shifter and I prefer the Fidanza one.Because they had to introduce a new stop in all their shifters, and the reputation was established on their products before this correction.DGajre777 said:Why is Fidanza known to be crap? They introduced a new stop in all their shifters.
And so goes the market. I prefer the B&M, but I'd have much more preferred getting the illegal ripoff exact copy that sells for $30 instead of the got-it-for-used-from-a-member-here-at-$100. I don't see any difference in throws on the B&M between gears, but I have mine set at 35% reduction instead of 50%, and I don't know if that might have been what you'd driven.I bought one last week from Ultrarev.com (Ultrarev on here) for $55 and I love it. The height is the almost the same, but unlike B&M which has a wierd short throw (different in every gear), this one has what feels like a 40% short throw in every gear.I test drove a car with a B&M short shifter and I prefer the Fidanza one.
, so it is a noticable difference. My brother also just bought one off of Ebay taht I believe was a B&M style thats a shorter throw than mine and feels great, hes not that mechanically inclined and he installed it so it couldnt be that tough.fhudsonjr said:You're bottom link doesn't work.

I was also thinking of getting JNZ's. Supposedly fidanza updated it to have stoppers now, and fixed a few diamaters so you don't have to cut away shit. I bought it, wasn't able to put it on and I decided to just keep it stock since I didn't want to #### around with grinding metal just to put it on.Beezle said:Whoops. Fixed.
. Give it a try, what the hell.Morpherex said:I was also thinking of getting JNZ's. Supposedly fidanza updated it to have stoppers now, and fixed a few diamaters so you don't have to cut away shit. I'm gonna save up and give JNZ's a try.
However, get the symbroski kit and the cable bearing kit. I have the symbroski but not the bearing, I've got something simliar to it off of mach v. I'm going to get the bearing though. Give it a try, what the hell.
Beezle said:Ohh, is the symbroski kit for the actual shifter itself? I thought it was for the shifter linkage like that other 2. Guess not. I guess I'll buy both the sbr shifter cable bearing kit and symbroski kit.
Anyone else have anything to say about the JNZ short shifter?

The metal tube fits on a part of the shifter. The round "washers" go underneath and ontop of the base of the shifter unit to replace the stock rubber gromets.Beezle said:Ohh, is the symbroski kit for the actual shifter itself?
