i recently purchased the fidanza short throw shifter but it didnt come with instructions or busshings or anything just the shifter and some kind of black block. can anyone post some pics or give me some simple instructions for installin that :talon:

thats a little more difficult than i thought this would be but i think i can manage.. you had some pretty good pics and instructions....thanks

I wish I could take credit for it. It's been on vfaq for a while. It's not too bad once you get into it. Just keep all the parts together when you're taking apart the pivot on the shifter and you'll be fine. There's a lot of little bushings and washers there so it's easy to get confused what went where. Good luck.

ya i had it on my old camaro and i loved it shortened the throw and i didnt feel like i was over extending my arm or anything. plus its not a very expensive mod.... im just having some trouble putting it in but i hope to finish it today.

It's a fairly straight forward install. I put mine in last summer and it greatly reduced throws. As a side note, if your car is a 1990, then you have to take a hacksaw and cut off about 1/4" to make it fit properly. I also recommend geting the shifter cable bearing inserts. They make the the shifts firm up and more notchy for a more precise shift.

i got the shifter put in last night and it was WAY easier than i thought. i guess when i first looked at it it just looked like a mess but i love it and think it was well worth the $60 investment :thumb:

i got a 93 tsi awd. If i put in the fidanza short thorw is there any possibility of breaking the shift forks. I was reading somewhere that it happens when you put in the short throw.
