2G Fender rolling

I've got 235-45-17 with a 35 offset wheel. With your 5mm spacer it's going to put your wheels in about the same position as mine. Why are you using spacers?
The rear tire was hitting the rear upper control are ever so slightly but enough not to move freely. The fronts cleared with no issues. They are some big damn tires!! Lol wish I had 245 40 17 profile might have made a difference but wont swear on it. We will just try for now the 45s since they came with the rims. Were on a early 3000gt vr4 TT

I could have sworn a +45 would tuck in under the fender and a +35 would push it towards the outside of the fender. Now I'm really confused . :idontknow:

This one^^ The lower you go on offset the more the rims would stick out (widens stance)
Higher number = narrower stance, brings rim/tire closer to the middle {inner wheel well} (or it tucks more :thumb:)
a 5mm spacer on a +40 offset would make it a +35 offset

Thanks, not confused anymore.

I've got 235/40r17 tires on 17x9 35mm offset wheels and have just a few mm's fron the knuckle. I am not surprised a 40mm with a 245 tire would rub slightly.

Regarding the rolling of the fenders, I am really adamant on cutting anything (live in an island). The rear inner fender lip does seems extremely tough. I would say atipically tough for a wheel well fender lip. How much of the lip would you guys say you had to roll/cut/bend out of the way with your current setups?

I haven't done it yet, but I'm about to squeeze some 255/35/18's on my 2g so I'll need to roll the rear for sure.

I'm planning on just notching the rear lips in couple places and using a rubber mallet to bend them upwards. I'll most likely borrow a fender roller just to clean everything up. I'll post results when I'm done!

One thing for everyone to keep in mind is "actual" tire size. Regardless of what the the manufacturer puts on the side of their tire, the "actual" size will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Tires (like shoes) fit differently due to a variety of factors such as tire compound, wall thickness, rim width, and psi to name a few. I only bring this up because memebers are asking about how much rolling of fenders needs done.

Im with you 100% on this one. So I figure I will roll the rears as much as possible with the vice grips and wood block hammer combo.
