I am getting a sleeper 16g.I want to max it out on pump gas(If i have to do it on race gas i will). My car is daily driven..What size injectors would be enough? How much boost and what tuning software? I would like to use a keydriver chip and i have an afc(jeff said that the maft and 3inch mafs are a "POS" and thats what im using).

It all depends on what your goals are for the car. How much boost do you want to run, HP goals, etc.

Also, the MAF-Ts aren't "POS", they just shouldn't be used alone as a sole tuning solution; they're just not accurate enough. :talon:

I want as much hp and boost out of pump gas as i can get..I would like to reach low 12s if I cant do it on pump ill use race gas...Is a 12 im my cards?I have an afc too and i want to use a keydriver instead of dsmlink.

TurboTrix will be tuning it.

If you can't hit low 12's on a 20g compressor wheel, you need to quit the hobby and try something else.

Ok than what is in the cards then? There is a member on here running a 11.59 on the sleeper 16g.

What's in the cards is you get as much of a proactive tuning solution as you can (which DOES NOT MEAN a static tune "chip" coupled to a craptastic old tech AFC). I would highly advise you ditch both of these and switch to DSMlink. I don't want to hear you whine about how much it costs, it is going to get you the most bang for the buck in terms of tuning and streetability.

If you want to maximize power from a 20g crammed in a TD05H compressor housing, you're going to need to let air flow as freely into the cylinder as possible and not increase turbulence any more.

Other than that, DO YOUR RESEARCH, and buy efficient, NOT CHEAP, upgrades. Spend the money, and buy quality if you want to get the best possible power that you can. Get the opinions from someone who understands fluid dynamics for your intercooler piping, your intake manifold, etc. The better your system can flow, the less parasitic loss in power that you will net.

hey boosted I wasn't asking for you so sit there and say im whining..How about looking at my mods before you jump the gun.$700 cams yea thats a cheap mod right?I don't have the chip yet im debating on if i want link or the chip im not 100% sure im keeping the car or selling it. This isnt my 1st dsm kiddo ive never had a big turbine wheel crammed into a small housing. With link im going to be spending around $1200 for link and a laptop and injectors..Oh and btw I would never buy a sleeper 16g..But im getting it for $250 with low miles and no shaft play!!!!!

Also I might add shep ran a 10.09 on a 20g. There ppl running 12s on a 14b!

Ive decided to sell can anyone tell me how much psi on that sleeper would equal to 23psi on a e316g?

Whoa! Thats pretty harsh.... I have the keydiver+afc combo and I like it for its ease of operation. Jeff is a great guy, just tell him your mods and he'll give you the best possible timing map.....not only that, but the stage 3 chip has around 15 great features....just plug the ecu in and go. The chip is good if you dont plan on changing your setup and if you do he'll just burn you a new chip. Yea dsmlink is better but the keydiver is more of a "plug and play"......you dont need turbotrix to tune it just get a wideband and you can tune it in like 30min.

See thats the answer i was looking for..Im getting this turbo for a nice price and if I decide to sell im never going to get my money back. I can get the chip and injectors for under $500..Now for dsmlink I have to buy the link, laptop, and injectors then have to tune it. Im looking at over $1200.

Well off a stock block pushing 20 lbs of boost, all you should need is 680cc Injectors, those should be pleny and you can prob turn around and sell your stock injectiors to some civic owner who turboed there civic, they are always looking for those injectors. Sell them for 100. Make some cash off it.

My buddy has pte 680s for cheap too.

While an afc may be easy to use along with a keydiver chip, you are very limited to what you can do with it.. Dsmlink is worlds better than an afc.. Also, you dont need "turbotrix" to tune it either.. It's user adjustable..

To the OP, while $1200 may seem like alot now, you will be able to be more precise with the tune.. Do it once, do it right..

Thats what I'm saying. He doesnt have that $1200 right now so just get the keydiver stage 3 and a wideband. That will only set him back like 400 bucks....then play with it and tune it to the best of your ability and save up and wait for V3....sounds like a plan dont it? BTW you WILL be running 12's with that setup.........

you could get the stage 3 chip i would say its a waste if your going to get link why spend more money then you need to? I just hope you realize if you use the chip and safc no more venting. venting will hurt at that point. Perosnally im not a big fan of link. Im running an maf pro totally diffrent then the maft that sucks i know ive used it myself and hated it. you def are going to need a wideband thats the best mod i ever did if you ask me. stock block? if your going to push that turbo and do it saftly i would advise geting arp headstuds and a mitsu 4 layer headgasket but arps at the very least i would also say remove your balance shafts but thats your call best of luck 650s are more then enough i maxed out my big16g with 550s

Well I have my 550 maxed out now with my 16g but this is a sleeper 16g is a 20g crammed into a 16g housing. I like venting...I think my best bet is to keep the boost were its the same as the 16g would flow and sell it..Im collecting and dont have to worry about not having a car for work..But those days area almost over..

The maft isnt a pos it just, the op is right you cant just put it in and go.

Correction it just isnt supposed to be used by itself.

If you switch to a second gen mass on your car you can run 680cc injectors easy with an SAFC.Big 16g can easily overrun 550s.

OR.. get a custom Jeff 'O DSMLink chip ;)

Link is worlds above a chip+piggy-back. As for injectors, the right answer depends on the answer to the first question. If you get DSMLink, then get the biggest injectors you can afford since it will compensate for them (and you WILL want bigger ones). If you go with a cheaper piggy-back solution, then get the largest injectors it can handle (which will be too small), and be prepared to spend more on upgrading them AND a good tuning solution in a while. But I digress... :)

I have a ported eII16g, ported manny, ported O2, and 3" non-cat exhaust, cams, and wally 255hp at stock pressure. At around 38 lbs/min airflow (23psi), my IDC's are usually maxed on 93 pump, or a blend of 91 pump/E85.

So...you wanna buy some nice FIC 650's so I can get the 1000 cc's I need? :)

take it from exp. save and do it once. i would eaither save and get 1000s with link or maf pro or aem or you could try mega squirts. ive ben thinking of trying a mega squirts myself.

I hate to sound like an a$$, but your posts are really hard to read. You need to invest in some capital I's, spell checker, and some periods (previous post). :D

ROFL....Im going to see about the injectors my buddy is selling. I want to sell the talon for a more reliable car something I dont have to worry about being fast.
