My girlfriend has a 1998 eclipse gst spyder with a 2.5 inch apexi N1 turbo exhaust system. She loves the way the exhaust sounds, but she wants it a little bit louder. My question is should I get rid on the resonator on her exhaust? Would that make it sound like crap? i just wanted some feed back so i don't go do this and have it turn out like crap. Thank you guys!

Losing the resonator will make it louder. If that's what she's wanting that will do it. If she had a nonturbo car I would say leave it on, but with the turbo it shouldn't be too raspy or crappy sounding IMHO. I say go for it:thumb:

she does want it louder but she doesn't want it sounding like a fart can though. i just want to be sure that it would sound good and still have the same sound as before, just louder :D

It will sound good if it still has a muffler on the end. Even if its a straight through muffler it will sound good. I have two exhaust systems.
1.Stock downpipe no cat, no resonators and an ebay 2" straight thru muffler - Sounds real deep bass sounding, not crappy at all.
2. 3" downpipe, no cat 3" all the way back and a 3" straight through resonator on the end - Sounds raspy and loud as hell!!!

Awesome! The exhaust we have has the cat delete as well. (sorry that i forgot to mention that). i tried looking up videos on it and couldn't find anything.
