Anyone deleted their resonator?

I have a 3" turboback with the cat deleted.... my catback goes 2.25 to three right after the resonator so I'm wanting to cut out the resonator foward on the catback and weld a solid piece of 3" pipe in its place.

Anyone deleted their resonator? How loud is your exhaust?

I have a full 3" down pipe back. The only slight restriction is the 3" cat and a straight through muffler. And suprisingly, the exhaust isn't that loud. Only a mild hum when I'm just crusing, but there is a nice growl at WOT.

i lost 1 of mine when it got a nice hole in it ( it was the only non SS thing on my exhaust )
i didnt notice much diff.

I have 3 inch exhaust, megan racing cat delete downpipe and it works like a charm. Good increase in power and isn't too loud. It's loud but not annoying or as loud as the ricer coffee cans. Depends on what muffler you get, but no cat will not be too much louder.

I have a full 3 inch with gutted cat and Apexi muffler. Its not that loud until you get on it. Just cruiseing its pretty silent.

I'm impressed that your 3" catback has a 2.25" section. I would cut that shit out and replace it with a 3" resonator.
Resonator = better sound and less noise while suffering an imeasurable decrease in performance.

i had mine rust out on me a little while ago.

then again its a 7-8 year old Burschur turbo back made of mild steel.

brought it over to my muffler shop and they cut it out (2.5'') and welded a 3" in its place.

much deeper tone now. sounds GREAT.

thats what i was wondering and was hoping that someone would have a sound clip. I searched and searched and searched and everyone didn't really have much to say about anything.
