Removing Resonator?

The resonator right before my muffler cracked at the welds and i want to know if there would be a major difference in sound output/power if i replaced it with a straight pipe?
Im running straight through muffler (its not there). With it removed will it make a ricey rasp noise, or just increase the loudness of the sound i have now?

It will not go ricey on you, just louder, and you'll get more popping cracking exhaust noises while engine braking, I think it sounds damn cool, I have no resinators and just a muffler, and mines not too loud at all, sounds good actually. You wont gain any noticable power at all, MAYBE like 1-2hp, if that.
