exhuast resonator??

What problems would my first resonator cause if it were ripped, and a I had a rather large exhaust leak!- B/C I DO!!

So I am looking to see some syptoms, if that is a large problem with my issue
--It is a 3" turbo back Custom exhaust ( NO CAT)- I have a resonator right after the the pipe bends under the car flat. It is all ripped and thrashed- I need a new one definitely, but I am interested to see what symptoms it causes anyway.

If this rip or exhaust leak is after your 2nd o2 sensor(which it sounds like) you will notice nothing, no loss of power or anything. Only thing is it will be louder... You might actually see a gain(very minimal) in power due to the exhaust getting out sooner than going through the muffler.

It is right after the o2 housing bolted to the turbo. I can't drive my vehicle due to the dizziness caused from the flowing of Carbon Monoxide into my car.

Also - since I am running no cat- and basically now- no exhaust ( 3")- then is there a reason why recently my turbo won't spool that much at all. Like am I lossing backpressure, The turbo drives off of the pressure from the exhaust from the head.

Well if its pre-02 sensor, then you could be runing like crap, becuase of air getting in the housing that shouldnt be there. As to why your turbo stoped spooling good, it could be because of the added fuel that the o2 sensor is trying to give, since the exhaust leak.

If you have a post-turbo leak, it will most likely cause a slightly slower than normal spool. Also, a resonator is a hardpipe with little fins protruding from it. I believe you are talking about you flex pipe that has rotted/thrashed.
