I want to maybe replace the muffler on my car for something alittle more quiet. Like a low decent tone. The owner of the car before me put some sore of Megan muffler on it before but I can't tell which. Keep in mind a just have a non turbo. I had maybe the Apexi N1 in mind for it, since it's not too expensive. I just want my car to sound nice and not like a tin can. :p The other thing is would it be a good idea to remove the resonator? I really don't know how I would go about doing any of this or putting a new muffler on either. So I'm asking for a little help.

Another axle back muffler question.

Which is the problem,You(previous owner) threw a different muffler on the car, and stopped there.

Have you thought about a catback exhaust, or a header back exhaust?

But remember, you have a n/t car,it may always sound like a pissed a off bumblebee.

Which would be better performance wise and sound wise? And I don't know exactly if it's just a different muffler or the whole system. I'm not too familiar with that kind of stuff. I'm just trying to do something simple to my car but not too expensive.

You answered your own question. A whole new exhaust.

Where to start.I'll help, it may be ebay but heres a good refference point.

Now ebay styler header welds are junk and most likely will crack down the road, so be weary. But if you have them looked over by a local tig shop it may hold up for a long time.I'm sure someone will want to banter about it.But thats most common with ebay headers.

As far as a cat back,Ebay is just fine, saves money and usually doesnt come with too many hiccups.

As far as installing an exhaust. Its literally bolt on.With a basic socket set you can bolt this on yourself.
