Ran across an ad for a 91 awd Talon with a Evo6 engine and tranny swap :hmm:
Is this possible i thought we could only use Evos 1-3 for this swap. Anyways looking to buy another dsm.
 
If there are pics and the engine is in the car facing the same direction as every other 1G, the seller is full of shit.

Nobody in their right mind would go through the work of installing an Evo IV-IX drivetrain into a car that already has a 4G63.

I HAVE A WHITE 91 EAGLE TALON WITH A BLACK TOP AND SUN ROOF. IT HAS THE EVO 6 COMPLETE SWAP. THE WHOLE SWAP INCLUDING TRANNY, DRIVE SHAFT, BRAKES, MOTOR ECU, MOUNTS EVERYTHING IS FROM A JDM EVO 6. I HAVE RECEITS FOR THE WHOLE SWAP. ALSO HAS A BRAND NEW CLUTCH WITH LIFE TIME WARRANTY. THE SWAP IS PRETTY MUCH A STOCK EVO 6 SWAP WITH SMALL ADD ON LIKE- BOOST CONTROLLER, GREDDY TURBO TIMER, ALL THE BOOST GAUGES. THIS CAR IS VERY VERY FAST . IT HAS THE 20G TURBO OFF THE EVO. THIS CAR IS VERY STRONG AND VERY RELIABLE. THE SWAP ONLY HAS 68000 MILES ON IT. THIS CAR IS RARE FIND WITH THIS SWAP IN IT. IM ASKING 4000 O.B.O POSSIBLE TRADES LET ME KNOW WHAT U GOT. Ummm, Evos never came with 20G turbos...so yeah.

Someone email this joker and ask for the underhood pics which should already be in the listing if he actually paid to have such a ridiculous swap done.

sounds like a waste of money...### the 4g63 we have in the cars can make just as much. if not more power then the evo6 motor...
 
Evo5/6s are very rare in the U.S..
If you can find one, its most likely one imported for the Rally Circuit.
Fully tricked out these go for $50,000 used. Used parts also fetch a high price because of the rarity of the car.
 
Does the backwards 4g63 valve cover from the newer evo's fit on a dsm 4g63? would be hilarious if it did ROFL I would totally do it.
 
if someone gets all those boost gauges can you send one my way, Im having trouble one just doesn't cut it anymore.

Someone ask this guy about the clutch I could use a lifetime warranty on a clutch. specially when I get my evo 6 20g.

For real. Something about that statement screams "AutoZone"; if that's the case, I'm sure it will soon fail from all of the horses that 20G is laying down.
 
LOL you guys are funny. I spoke with this guy before the post and he claimed the drive train was imported and then he did the swap never mentioned any fabbing up. Maybe he ment Evo3.

if i recall the 20g is just a bastard turbo isnt it? anywho for those wanting a pic of the enigne i found one and it was in a later ad he put up which was um pretty low quality almost like he was hiding somehting

but to a good dsmers eye you can see its not a evo6 swap at all

Keen eyes guys , The bad part is some young kid will probably buy and brag at the weekend hangout that he has a 20g powered Evo engine .

I see a stock 1G engine bay....not even a hard upper intercooler pipe. He probably swapped to a JDM Galant valve cover and all of a sudden the engine and drivetrain are from an Evo VI.

Even if he meant Evo III- would you remove a 6-bolt to install a 7-bolt? Actually, wait; there would be no roll stop provision on the block of an Evo III so he's full of shit yet again.

even though the evo 3 is a 7 bolt it doesnt have the crank walk issue like the 2g's do just letting you know!

and yes the guy is full of shit...but honestly i think he just painted his valve cover and called it a day

Oh really? What's the difference between the thrust bearing on a '95 DSM block and a '95 Evo III block just out of curiosity?

Just for the record, Evo IV-IX's aren't supposed to crankwalk either:
