Evo rods and pistons

Just bought a set of evo rods and pistons for my 1G 7 bolt. Just wondering how much power people think these can hold? I heard the evo's are reaching 600 hp on the stock internals. What are your thoughts? These will just bolt on as a direct replacement to the stock combo , correct?

From what ive seen, theyre not much of an upgrade. The rods are still a weak point

The Evo Rod's will not take much more than 400ft/lbs of torque.

OK. I am not looking get anything to crazy, for now. I think the car has a ebay 20g. That will be gettinog upgraded or rebuilt. I had to tear the entire engine down to see what all I had to work with. Found cylinder 4 to have the piston rings rusted onto the piston. So I am replacing the those. Thanks for the information.

Do you have a red setup from a evo viii or ix ?

I would prefer the ix internals over the viii.
