Hey guys, i just picked up a new GST and it has a nice FMIC on it. Guy i got the car from says its an evo IC. The top of the IC is stamped with a "toyo radiator" logo, is that normal or right?
I can get pictures if someone wants to see it.

My Evo8 FMIC has no stampings on the top of it. My guess is that the seller felt that the core was designed for the Evo chassis, tahts all. Post pics and then we can be sure its not a stock evo core though.

Toyo is an OEM cooling system supplier, so there's a good chance it came from the factory on some type of turbocharged car.

Post pics- OEM Evo intercoolers are very easy to pick out.

Pics have arrived. One of that stamp i refered to, and one of it on the car. NO, it does NOT sit that low, i just mocked it up to try and start it.

I think that front mount is upside down.. and it doesnt look like it fits all that well LOL.. Looks like an evo front mount to me though.

Haha i know that picture of it with the car makes it look terrible. Haha. Please try to keep in mind, that this is the way i got the car and that it is NOT actually installed properly here, its just sitting there connected to the piping. Im actually going to be taking it off the car and storing it some place safe until its time to drive in the spring. When that time comes, ill make it fit right. It shouldnt be hard as it can go straight up, the bumper support is gone. :)

So thats one vote that it is indeed an evo IC, anyone else have a say?

Thank you for confirming thats its an evo FMIC. Guys, i am NOT keeping that way. it will be mounted up where it should be when it comes time to start it up. Ill make it look good, no worries. Haha.

i would remount that intercooler. before you rip it off

OK, final clear up since some people dont get it. I just bought this car, the FMIC was in the trunk with all the plumbing under the hood hooked up for it. I just tightened the hose clamps down and tried to start it. Now that I have a no start, with low compression. I will rebuild the engine and then install this guy correctly. Again, there is no front bumper support on this car, it will mount about 4-5 inches higher with no problem. Have a little faith in me people, i laugh and choose not to be a ricer just like you choose not to be one. ;)
