I was wondering if a stock evo 8 intercooler would work on a 91 eclipse turbo fwd? Would all the piping work too? How hard are they to install? Any guides? Would I have to get the piping made if the stock piping doesn't work or is there a kit for it? I did search the boards and can't find the answers I am looking for. I dont want to go with a huge fmic with major install changes to the bumber. I am not looking to make this car a drag car just to get an upgraded intercooler that can handle a 16g at 18-20psi. Any help, links, suggestions would be great. (like other possible intercoolers for my setup, like maybe an upgraded smic from dejontool).

You could go with a Supra MKIV side mount. It's a ton bigger then stock and won't cost you too much. It should work perfect for what you're looking to do. Theres an install guide here.

Yea, I thought about going with the supra side mount. By looking at the guide, I would have to make my own pipes? I am looking for as much, plug, play, kind of setup as possible. I don't want to get too extensive on what I have to do. Anybody used the dejontool smic?

evo8 will be just as hard, if not harder to put in as a supra smic. and i bet the supra smic flows and cools better than the evo

Yea I think I am going to go with the supra side mount or the dejontool smic. Still wondering if anyone has any experience with the dejontool one. I will do another search see if I can find anything.

I would go with the Supra side mount. A friend of mine has the Denjon side mount and said if he was to do it again he would probably just get the Supra intercooler instead. They should be pretty similar as far as how well they work, but the Supra intercooler will be a lot cheaper.

I think it is going to come down to, what do I have, money or time. Time, I will get the Supra SMIC because of all the fab work. Money, I will get the Dejon SMIC because it should be an easy install with no down time. Thanks everyone. :thumb:
