I have had my 99 gst now for about 2 months. I have learned a lot about these cars since then, but before i begin working on it i would like some experienced advice. My goal is about 320-375whp. This is what i have sitting in my garage:

EVO III big 16g
2g install kit
EVO manifold
EVO O2 housing (ported)
RRE downpipe
RRE 3" high flow cat
3" cat-back exhaust
Greddy profec B
Greddy turbo timer
Greddy boost and egt guage
550cc RC injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Injen intake
Greddy IC piping
Greddy BOV

I did some research and i hope this is the right stuff because i spent all my money on it!
Let me know if this is all i need or if i need anything else for the turbo upgrade.
Also i would like to get some feedback from anyone who has installed an EVO III big16g on a 2g before...Thanks

If you got the hks camshafts you could pickup anywhere from 20-30hp which would help alot.

for the street... 264/272 HKS!

i got the 272/272... heard they are gonna run really rough.:thumb:

I saw no fuel management/tuning tools listed, such as an S-AFC/logger combo or a DSMlink. You shouldn't put in the bigger injectors unless you have some way of controlling them.

Boost creep may be an issue for you-- the EVO 16G seems especially prone to it. A buddy of mine got the 34mm flapper mod for his and it still creeps a little. My "regular" Big16G creeps a little, too, but it's manageable, and I'm just using the regular-sized flapper currently. We both have O2 Elim downpipes as well, so that helps minimize creep. A ported O2 housing may or may not help with creep as much as an O2 Eliminator exhaust, depending on how it's ported.

Who's install kit did you go with?

I chose to go with the kit from turbogarage.com. If you know of a better one let me know...Thanks

Well since you have it already, it doesn't really matter. That one looks OK- I don't really know anything about turbogarage.com so I can't comment on the quality of the kit. I just pieced mine together from here and there-- oil feed line from RRE, 7cm gasket from SlowBoy, etc.

You will need a turbine housing to O2 housing gasket-- I didn't see one in the install kit picture on the turbogarage.com web site. That's something you can get from the Mitsu dealer for like $7; just tell them it's for a 1G (14B turbo) and it'll fit. You can't reuse the 2G gasket because the wastegate and turbine outlet holes don't quite line up, if I remember correctly.

I just finished my turbo and exhaust installation a few days ago and everything is going very well so far. You are going to be running a very similar set up.

You are missing, as it is already pointed out something to tune with. If you have the money get DSMlink, if not a pocketlogger safc will work.
You will also probably need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, I have the Aeromotive unit with CHM gauge and fittings as sold by Slowboy. You can get the whole deal from Fuel Injector Clinic as well, they are the same. It works well but is not the only unit out there.

Things you don't have listed include an upgraded intercooler and clutch.

I would get the turbo ported as well as the exhaust manifold, and the larger 34 mm wastegate flapper. I had all of these things done, as well as a 10 degree clip and boost creep is not an issue.

Anymore questions, I might be able to answer them.
