Thanks for the detailed response. It looks like I will need a logger and learn how to use it. I am on webTV and computer illiterate! I have a st of 550cc inj's going in soon. First I need to install my PLXDEVICES widebandA/F meter. I will get a baseline with the stock injectors and the wideband over the full RPM range. I have an upper IC pipe installed with the GM MAF. I will add the injectors and the Translator once I have readings from the wideband. I have an EGT gauge but will probably not use it until I upgrade to the EVO III turbo.
Checkthis out. I found an ECU chip in a box of stuff that came with the car. I can't read the insignia but it looks lokie it says PREPS? It also has a sticker on it that says Base, idle, mid and WOT. I did not think 1G's had a chip. Any help from anyone onthis? Thanks

I know that I am probably just reading your post wrong but do you mean that you have a GM-MAF and you are planning to leave it at 0 across the board while you take your base line readings with your Wide band 02? Or do you plan on just using your stock MAS for the base line and connect up the GM-MAF later? The reason I ask is because in order for the MAF to function properly it needs the MAF translator to convert the MAF output to a karmen output that your ECU can read. If you connect the MAF and Translator and leave all of the settings at 0 then your computer won't know the difference between that and the original MAS, this is good for the base line, once you do your base line and decide exactly where you need to tinker with the fuel delivery then you could do that at a later time. Good luck with your tuning, if you have any questions feel free to post them, I'm sure there are people who have been in your situation before and might be able to set you in the right direction. Just as a note you will probably want to start a new thread in either the General/Newbie forum or the Tuning Talk forum and ask your questions.
