Does you guys think i would be able to produce 400hp to crank or even to the wheels w/ the Evo III 16g with all goods ( cams, intake, built motor, front mount IC, all of the other supporting parts). I've been reading that it can make 370hp - 380hp, so i figure with some addition hp producers i would be able to make it to 400hp, which would be my goal. :talon: :thumb:

I don't know how much power my car is making. Nor do I really care. I just know how it performs.

I've run 118.02mph in my car with the Evo 16G at 26psi. My car weighs 3315lbs with me in it. The dsm.org hp calculator says that I was making 425hp. That is probably as close to a dyno as I am going to get. :)

My friend has a motor from Japan with yellow injectors, and a 16G. The shop said it was out of a RS Galant but We've read other threads which explain this as a evo III motor. Anyone know the difference?

What do you have done to your car(front mount, intake mani, etc.?) ? Any internal parts or were you running on race gas?

I always race with race gas. 117 octane Sunoco.

I have about as small a front mount as you can get.

An RRE Griffen 18"x6" core.
Custom 2.5" short route IC pipes.
3" RSR exhaust.
6-bolt block
1G big rods
2G pistons
1G head
1G intake manifold
1G BOV
HKS 264 cams
DSMLink
550cc/min injectors
Evo III 16G

Those are the biggies.

And 26psi of boost with good tuning, of course. :)

I've read a lot of members complaining of boost creep with the EVOIII...well I dont have any creep...14-18 psi and no creeping. Guess it all depends on your setup. Tell ya one thing... it pulls like a MO FO!

Warning! Do not install this turbo unless you have an upgraded clutch!! It munches on stock clutches at moderate to high boost like Kookoo for Coco Puffs!

The EVOIII flows 44LBS/hr so to see the max HP for the turbo all you need to do is to multiply the lbs/hr by 10 to see max hp that is un ported power of 440hp.... just my .02

The Evo III 16G is rated at something like 39lbs/min (not hr). I got 44.1lbs/min out of it at 26psi, though. It was datalogged with DSMLink. I think it is pretty accurate, since I have never hacked my MAF or backed out the screw, etc...
