I want to get a 4G63 engine out of an Evo III. The only problemn is that my car is and auto and the Evo didn't come with an auto trans until the Evo VI. Can I buy the 4g63 out of an Evo III (engine only) and have it hook up to my auto tranny, or do i need to convert over to manual to have the engine work?

For a new one yes. $549 is what I've seen. Then you may want to port it and you probably want it shipped to your house...

Da1sexmonks83, you do know that ecu+ is a dead project right? As in there will never be any more updates and support is less every day as the last remaining users ditch it.

I'm not sure about that, nor has there been any 'officially settled on' cause. N/T blocks with no oil squirters have been used and have crank walked. There have been instances of motors with automatics crankwalking too. . .

My friends 95 AUTO AWD just crankwalked like 2 months ago. :[

Wrong, Tom works on this all the time. A new update is just around the corner. The ECU+ is a great product as is, but it gets better the more time goes on. There are plenty of people who still run it. The reason the sales quit is because the price of the electronics went up and Tom didn't want to raise prices. I have ran with DSMlink, AMS, SAFC and the ecu+. I am by far the most pleased with this product for its easy of use, features and price. I have used it for 2 years now. I am able to communicate with Tom on a daily basis, he personally answers any questions I might have. If a person with the Ecu+ messages him with a unsupported MAP he will provide the support for it, I went through this just yesterday. The software isn't head, even if the product line doesn't continue. I had link guys tow the factory line on this with me before I bought it, and I haven't regretted it for a second.

In 2 years I have only seen 2 members sell off their units. One went to a stand alone for a strip only drag car, and the other was parting out his car. Neither were for lack of satisfaction. This guy wants the cheap effective way to get his power. I would say this is the best way. Unless he wants to run 8 injectors or duel fuel pumps this thing will handle just about anything you could want. I am almost to 500whp and it has given me no problems.

OH and how do I know there is new software coming out? I am beta testing it.

well first off, your got not getting them off ebay, MA performace is a very nice place to buy stuff from. the 16g is a oem peice, force performance make some awesome pieces, and here is a link the the vr speed inter cooler kit and you can take a look for your self.

If you want opinions on a product then type it into the search bar and start reading. You will find opinions all over the place.

Agreed. There are a TON of "cheap ebay" parts that work just fine. Why dont you use that sexy search button & learn to read. Knowledge is Power :thumb:

Only thing you dont want to go ebay with is a turbo. Intakes, Exhaust & FMIC are fairly good quality. Just sit down and read. TONS of people has posted reviews about ebay stuff. Take your time:cool:

a friend of mine is running the vr speed intercooler on his celica and it works just fine... but i think they are sold out for the eclipse models... might want to consider the punishment racing fmic its only $365 and they sell only quality parts... check it out at index

they are $340 @ MA Performance

i saw that punishment racing has an intercooler /w short route piping AND a BOV for $359 that seems a little bit too good to be true but its a hellova deal

If they have it at that price I'd rip their arm off. I got their budget tubular manifold for $189 around 18 months ago and it's held up to decent boost without any problems, so their products get a thumbs-up from me.
